About CAC

The Camarillo Arts Council (CAC) is a non-profit organization that presents and supports the performing and visual arts in Camarillo. CAC’s primary focus is bringing seven free concerts and two free movies to Constitution Park each summer. The council is run entirely by volunteers. CAC programs are funded by membership dues, corporate donations, grants, and audience contributions.

The concerts and movies are free to the public, although donations are accepted in order to fund future performances. As you make plans to attend CAC events this summer please keep the event etiquette in mind to ensure a pleasurable experience for all members of the community. Please also consider supporting other local non-profit organizations by visiting their concession stands during concerts and movies; stands sell food items such as hot dogs, popcorn, candy, soft drinks, and coffee.

Concerts:
CAC strives to present a wide variety of performers each summer (ranging from a country quartet to a symphony orchestra), offering something for everyone. Attendees bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating and picnic dinners for a relaxing evening under the stars. Concerts are held on Saturdays at 7:30pm, please visit the schedule page to view upcoming performances

Movies:
Can you imagine a drive-in movie with out the car? This is what movies in the park are like. Movies are shown on a large screen, which covers the front of the pavilion, and the sound is projected through the regular concert sound system. Two movies are presented each summer and the CAC strives to select films that are fun for all ages. Movies begin at dusk, approximately 8:00pm in the summer months, please visit the schedule page to view the upcoming performances.
